New West Wins Wellness Warrior Award

Recently, New West was honored with United HealthCare's Wellness Warrior Award. Award winners are recognized for implementing exemplary wellness programs aimed at improving health risk and prevention among their employee populations. Criteria for the Wellness Warrior Award included the organization's commitment to achieving successful wellness programs with high-level executive support; the presence of active wellness committees and champions; an established wellness budget; and the use of diverse wellness resources such as health assessment tools, biometric screenings, personal health records, direct employee communication, and health education and coaching.

"The Wellness Warrior award winners have developed wellness programs that demonstrate a true commitment to improving their employees' quality of life and reducing health care costs," said Andi Rowe, MEd, Regional Health Strategies Director. "Wellness and preventive health are critical components of improving our health care system."

Out of over 390 organizations in our size group, New West received the Third Place Award. We thank New West leadership for inspiring its employees to lead a healthier lifestyle.
