In a continuing effort to provide more services to clients, New West Technologies, LLC has added a graphic design capability to its portfolio of services. Kizita Awuakye has joined the company as the graphic design manager and will lead a department that will provide design and branding expertise.
Ms. Awuakye is skilled in all aspects of design, including print, electronic and multimedia. A graduate of George Mason University, Ms. Awuakye holds a B.A. in Art Studio and has nine years of professional experience. She has worked with the federal government, associations and private enterprises.

On January 12, 2010, Haiti experienced a devastating earthquake and New West, along with thousands of companies and individuals, has responded. New COO Has Positive Outlook for New West Technologies

Washington, D.C. --- Despite the economic conditions that have challenged many businesses, New West Technologies, LLC ‘s new Chief Operating Officer has a positive outlook for the company. Spike Bighorn was recently named COO and says the future of the company is bright.

Mr. Bighorn comes to New West after serving as Chief of Staff at the Bureau of Indian Education in Washington, D.C. Prior to that assignment he worked as an Education Line Officer in the Billings Education Office in Montana, a Teacher Training Director, and held several leadership positions within the Assiniboine and Sioux communities. He brings a solid understanding of government and program leadership to the company.

New West Awarded Two New Contracts with the General Services Administration
Lakewood, CO (April 6, 2009):
Last week New West Technologies, LLC was awarded a five year, $1.9 million dollar contract with the General Services Administration (GSA). Under the contract, New West will provide data processing, hosting, and related services to the Network Services Division of GSA in region 8. This work will primarily consist of providing customer support for GSA clients ordering telecommunications products. This work will be done out of the Lakewood, CO project offices.
New West was also awarded a five year contract with the GSA valued at $600,000. On this contract, New West will be providing on-site computer related services largely consisting of database support and development for the GSA region 8. This work will also be done out of the Lakewood, CO project offices.

New West becomes a Protégé to the Alliance for Sustainable Energy
Golden, CO (March 25, 2009):
On March 23, 2009 Jim Williamson, CEO of New West, signed a Mentor Protégé agreement with the Alliance for Sustainable Energy (The Alliance). The Alliance is managing the National Renewable Energy Lab (NREL) located in Golden, Colorado. The Mentor Protégé agreement is through the Department of Energy's Office of Small & Disadvantaged Business Utilization.
As a mentor, NREL will help New West further develop and refine business operations including subcontract management and the development of onsite security protocol. As a protégé, New West will have the opportunity to expand our project work with NREL beginning with additional tasking under the Advanced Fuels and Vehicles research area. Over the course of the agreement New West anticipates receiving tasking in all of NREL's research areas including Wind, Solar, Biomass, and Green Building. Furthermore, New West expects to be a significant partner in NREL's mission of bringing technology to market.

New West Wins Navy Seaport-e Contract
Greenwood Village, CO (January 8, 2009):
New West Technologies was awarded the Navy Seaport-e Multiple Award Contract (MAC) in late December 2008. Seaport-e is a procurement vehicle used by the Navy to contract Engineering, Technical, and Programmatic Support Services across the United States. Through this award New West will have the opportunity to start building working relationships within the Department of Defense. Based on New West’s previous experience we proposed nine functional areas in which New West could provide support: R&D, Engineering, Software, Information Technology, Logistics, Training, Programmatic, Functional and Administrative and Public Affairs and Multimedia. New West was awarded six of the possible seven zones. The Seaport-e contract will give New West the opportunity to bid on $53 billion worth of procurement opportunities for the ten year duration of the contract.

Utica, NY (October 23, 2008):
New West Technologies, LLC is excited to announce its relocation of their New York operations to 414 Trenton Ave in Utica. Thomas Perrot, Vice President of Eastern Operations, stated “With the recent growth of the New York office, we are excited about the move to the reinvigorated Utica area. Relocating the office to larger office space in Utica will allow us to increase our services to organizations in New York and the Northeast.”
New West Technologies has worked with the New York State Energy Research and Development Authority (NYSERDA) on projects with other New York State companies. These efforts have successfully demonstrated the use of electrified Trailer Refrigeration Units for frozen or refrigerated food distributors, analyzed the effectiveness of hydraulic regenerative braking systems, and evaluated energy efficiency technology for businesses and municipalities. The company has been identified by NYSERDA as a FlexTech consultant that can provide technical assistance to identify and encourage the implementation of cost-effective energy-efficiency measures. New West Wins $85M EERE Contract

On June 24th, 2008 the Department of Energy awarded EnergyWorks Joint Venture, LLC a 5-year, 85 million dollar technology development contract for the Office of Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy (EERE). This partnership will bring clean, reliable and cost-effective energy technology to the marketplace by promoting the use of renewable energy and sustainable design. This contract was awarded as part of the EERE's mission to strenghten America's energy security, environmental quality and economic vitality. EnergyWorks will provide the EERE with technical, engineering, analyitical and management support for the EERE's R&D mission and upcoming projects. EnergyWorks will also offer technical and analytical support for the EERE's solar, wind, hydropower, geothermal, hydrogen fuel cell and other technologies programs.
