NWT Summer Internship Program

The New West Summer Internship Program is designed to mentor undergraduate and graduate students, as well as recent university graduates, interested in making a career in the energy and management consulting industry. The focus of the program is to assist students along the path of personal professional development, helping them to gain the knowledge, resources and experience they need to join the energy and management consulting industry.
Benefits of a NWT Internship
As a New West intern, you will gain valuable hands-on experience in a challenging technical consulting work environment. From orientation sessions, you will learn about each aspect of the energy consulting industry and get to experience firsthand why New West is on the Inc. 500 Fastest Growing Companies for 2010. Our interns also develop valuable one-on-one relationships working closely with some of the industry’s most gifted individuals.
Interns become part of the New West team and are included in: periodic staff meetings, weekly program meetings, workshops, seminars, and Lunch & Learn events.
General Information
Interns are expected to work between 20 and 30 hours a week during an 8 to 12 week internship period. Internships are offered during the Summer (typically mid-June through August). Interns may receive academic credit if an agreement is made between the New West Human Resources Department and the intern's college or university. All interns are subject to the applicable New West employee policies and procedures.

Internship Qualifications
The internship period is from approximately the second week in June through the last week in August. Please note that the ideal candidate must meet our qualifications for the program:
- 2.75 Cumulative GPA for Undergraduate students
- 3.0 Cumulative GPA for Graduate students
- Applicant must be at least a sophomore and be at least 18 years of age
- Authorized to work in the United States for the entire duration of the internship
- Enrolled in a 4-year degree program an accredited college/university or
- Recently graduated from an undergraduate or advanced degree program from an accredited college/university
