New West Wins $85M EERE Contract
Landover, MD (July 14, 2008):
On June 24th, 2008 the Department of Energy awarded EnergyWorks Joint Venture, LLC a 5-year, 85 million dollar technology development contract for the Office of Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy (EERE). This partnership will bring clean, reliable and cost-effective energy technology to the marketplace by promoting the use of renewable energy and sustainable design. This contract was awarded as part of the EERE's mission to strenghten America's energy security, environmental quality and economic vitality.
EnergyWorks will provide the EERE with technical, engineering, analyitical and management support for the EERE's R&D mission and upcoming projects. EnergyWorks will also offer technical and analytical support for the EERE's solar, wind, hydropower, geothermal, hydrogen fuel cell and other technologies programs.
